The price you hear is the price you pay
An emergency call is stressful enough without a mystery invoice, so we price it like a service you can check first: a fixed, time-banded fee agreed before we dispatch. Rates depend on time of day — see the table below. Anything beyond clearing the blockage is quoted separately.

Every emergency job is quoted the same way: call-out and first-hour rate stated on the phone, out-of-hours uplift stated as an exact figure, any relining or excavation beyond the first hour agreed before it happens.
Four pricing principles
Quoted before we dispatch
The time-banded fee is agreed on the phone — never announced once the engineer is on your doorstep.
No clear, no charge
If we attend a confirmed blockage and cannot clear it with the kit on the van, the call-out fee for that attempt is waived.
Repairs priced separately
Clearing the blockage is one job; any relining or excavation the camera reveals is quoted separately, with no obligation.
No invented extras
No “equipment charges”, no “report admin fees” you didn't agree to, no weekend multipliers hidden in the small print.
Pricing questions
What decides where my price falls above the base figure?
The job type and the time band, mainly — a daytime blocked sink is a different rate to a midnight blocked toilet. We confirm the exact time-banded figure on the phone before dispatch, and it does not change once the engineer arrives.
Does the call-out fee come off any further work?
The call-out and clearance are priced as one job. If the camera finds a structural cause needing relining or excavation, that is quoted separately and carries no obligation.
Will insurance pay these fees?
Some buildings and home-emergency policies cover blocked-drain call-outs. Check your policy wording — we can provide an invoice and, where useful, a short CCTV clip to support a claim.
What if the blockage turns out to be something simple?
Then we tell you and charge the standard clearance rate. A quick plunger-level fix doesn't get billed as a full emergency call-out.
Is there a call-out fee on top of the job price?
Where a call-out or minimum charge applies it is shown on this page and confirmed on the phone. We do not invent equipment surcharges or report admin fees after the visit.
Do night and weekend rates apply to every borough?
Time bands apply London-wide. The uplift is about when the engineer attends, not which postcode. Outer boroughs use the same fixed prices as central London for the same job type.
Can I get a price for my postcode before I call?
